Membership Information
Life Sciences Company
Life sciences companies pay annual dues according to the number of employees the company has in North Carolina.
A life sciences company discovers, develops, manufactures or commercializes products for human, animal, plant or environmental health, or products built on biological and chemical science. Examples include pharmaceuticals, biologics, gene and cell therapies, CROs, CDMOs, diagnostics, medical devices and agricultural technology.
Membership type depends on what a company produces, not on whom a company serves, so a firm providing goods or services to life sciences companies registers as a supporting company. Life sciences companies have a physical location in NC and a commercial presence in the state. No residential addresses.

Out-of-State companies are life sciences companies with no North Carolina operation. While they may have a few employees in the state, they do not manufacture, conduct research or have a physical footprint. They pay annual dues of $2,000 a year.
Nonprofit
Nonprofit organizations are tax-exempt organizations, such as 501(c)(3) entities, that wish to participate in NCLifeSci. Annual dues are $1,000.
