Lauren Barclay Loughhead

Lauren Barclay Loughhead, Ph.D., is a biotechnology executive with expertise in regulatory affairs, program leadership, and alliance management. Before relocating from the Boston area to North Carolina in 2019, she held senior roles at The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where she launched a joint initiative to advance early-stage therapeutics, and at Warp Drive Bio, leading business development and strategic partnerships with major pharmaceutical companies. Since moving to Durham, she has advanced to Senior Director and Head of Regulatory Affairs at Precision BioSciences, driving global regulatory strategies and leading successful submissions for innovative gene editing programs. Lauren earned her Ph.D. in Biological and Biomedical Sciences at Harvard University and her B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley.
